Statement of Purpose

The National Forum for Black Public Administrators/Tallahassee Area Chapter is a membership organization formed to provide unique resources to black executives and public managers and thereby enhance their overall contributions to the science and practice of Public Administration.

In carrying out its mission, NFBPA/Tallahassee Area Chapter shall strive to coordinate and link together other public, private and academic black institutions into an effective interdisciplinary network of communication. NFBPA/Tallahassee Area Chapter (NFBPA/TAC) shall exercise leadership in the development of minorities in public and private management positions; promote and sponsor forums for discussion of timely issues and topical concerns; support the development and maintenance of a repository of black executive talent for job opening and technical assistance.

To serve as a catalyst for linking public and private organizations, as well as academic institutions to support the professional development of African-Americans choosing public service careers.

We prepare and groom leaders by mentoring, coaching and providing leadership development for African Americans choosing public service.

We employ multiple modes of communication and cutting-edge leadership principles to enhance knowledge and skills for professional advancement of its members.
